Weekly Parent Update for Sep 5, 2025
Delay Start:
Northwest High School will be utilizing a delayed start on Friday, Sep 12, 2025 and Friday, Sep 19, 2025. All Freshman and Sophomore students taking ELA 9 or ELA 10 (on 9/12/25) as well as Algebra 1 or Geometry (on 9/19/25) will be completing our first of three MAP Diagnostic Testing. Teachers in these courses will be speaking with students next week in class ensuring all students know who is expected to arrive at school for their normal 7:25 start time.
Upperclassmen (Juniors and Seniors) will report on these 2 days at 9:30 and complete their day under the following schedule:
Freshman to RG Drage:
All Freshmen will be attending a presentation at RG Drage on Thursday, Sep 11, 2025
featuring keynote speaker, generational expert, and best selling author Mark C. Perna. For more information please reference the attached flyer. Students will leave Northwest High School around 8:45 am and return approximately around 11am.
Parent-Teacher Conferences:
The first of three PTC nights will be held on Thursday, Sep 25, 2025 from 2:30pm to 7:30pm. Please use the following link to sign up for individual conferences with your child’s teachers. Immunization Clinic:
Monday, Sep 29, 2025 The Stark County Health Department will be at Northwest Middle School from 3:00 - 5:00pm. Please see the attached flyer to schedule an appointment.
